You know your child is almost 2 when. . .

You catch him sitting on your cutting board at the top of the stairs preparing to sled down. It's moments like these that set your heart pounding, hoping he survives himself. Like today when we had to make the decision to put the bar stools in the attic for a season. We love these cute red barstools--they add a splash of color to the chocolate-brown kitchen, the girls love to sit on them for breakfast, and it's a great place to sit while using our laptops. However, out of the sheer fear of an impending emergency room visit, they have been put out of order. Nathan had decided that it was too much fun to jump from chair to chair, climb on the counter, and get on top of the ceramic stovetop and play with the dials. The more I discouraged it, the more he wanted to be on those barstools. So, for now, we say farewell to our barstools, until another day. We will miss you!

I finally found you! It took a little blog hopping :)
So I'm sorry about your bar stools. I know what thats like. I was laughing at your Blogitis! Hilarious. And I'm drooling over your Hawaii pics. I'm dying to go back. Why can't every day be like Hawaii!!!
Well, at least I can go into my lavish pool for a quick escape from life's daily burdens. That usually lasts about 30 seconds before I'm joined by a minimum of four splash mongers trying drag me back to reality. At least life is interesting! :)

That's so funny. Hey, just think, if you kept out the red bar stools, the blood from his injuries would just blend in! Ah, boys. A whole new world of anxiety.

Found Mikenna on top of the table (climbed from a chair) playing with the chandelier. Looked around and saw that she stuck her hand in a candle (thankfully wasn't lit) and was smearing wax on everything including my Book of Mormon that I've had since I was 12. So wax on those pages, wax on the chandelier and wax all over the fruit basket we have as a centerpiece. I thought she was innocently playing with her toys but looks like I have a climber now. I have to watch her more closely now.
